Last December, I took part in a most unusual engagement session in Boston Mass. The girl had no idea it was happening! David had planned quite an elaborate day of events to throw his girlfriend Janelle off track, and it was going to end with him giving her the ring in The Boston Public Garden, where I was going to be in hiding to document the entire thing. You can get the full details here. Needless to say, I have been looking forward to doing this couple’s wedding for a long time! Janelle had decided upon a Pride and Prejudice theme for her wedding, and you could see a lot of work went into preparing her parents home for the big event in Dunbarton,NH. Everything was just beautiful, and the weather could not have been better. It even got overcast at the right time of the day for photos. The girls got ready across the street at a neighbors beautiful home. I loved the interior, lots of natural light coming in, and I know my second shooter Lindsay had a field day with Janelle’s gown, hanging it all over the place for photos. I think I could probably do a separate blog post just with Lindsay’s gown photos! We staged the first look in the neighbors back yard, and after giving the couple a little time alone, we headed back up to Janelle’s house for the photos. Since the wedding wasn’t until 7pm, it gave us lots of time for pictures, which always is good for a photographer. I find I get my best photos if I can have the bride and groom alone for an hour, uninterrupted. I don’t think I had them for quite an hour, but I had plenty of time to just capture them being themselves. The one challenge I thought I would have during photos was that Janelle does not like having her picture taken. I was probably just a little merciless with teasing her about the pictures, and may have even enjoyed torturing her just a bit, but as you will see, she was extremely photogenic, and made a most beautiful bride. They are a beautiful couple, inside and out, and the whole day was just perfect. Such a beautiful ceremony, I am so thankful I was asked to tell their wedding day story. Here are a few of my favorites.

Joe,
You have captured the “true essence of inner & outer beauty” of this adoring and most loving, Godly couple! Your work is remarkable. You have been blessed with a true gift. Thank you for the memories your have seized in your art of Janelle & David’s most cherised day. They can now be remembered for a life time by not only the newly married couple, but also for many, ” like me” for years to come. I am deeply grateful. It was such a pleasure to view this beautiful couple’s photos and I look forward to viewing the completed work of art once it is posted.
God Bless,
Tina-Marie Whittaker
